So as a birthday present to myself yesterday I only threw up five times. I'm quite proud of that, it's gone done from it's high of 8. Whatever Alicia keeps feeding me must be working since I was able to keep down that bowl of birthday chicken broth she brought me. I must say this is never how I expected to spend my 20th birthday, but then again I didn't expect to spend my 19th in hiding. All in all I've grown up a lot over the past year so that I feel older than 20. I wish I could say I was able to spend my birthday down in the village pub with plenty of alcohol and greasy food, instead just writing that makes me feel queasy.

Well I'm sick, turns out that constant headache I was having was the beginning of the flu. It explains why I was feeling so tired and sensitive to light, but now I've been confined to my bed to wait it out. I really should have taken the free flu shots offered by the city before I left. Now I'm going to be suffering the horrible and wretched consequences of not following the Health Minister's advice.

So for the next week Iain will be doing our duties single handily while I try to keep from throwing up and keeping hydrated.

I hope that Luna's continuing incidents with snakes doesn't make anyone think this school is really cursed, because it isn't! Don't be silly children! Luna is simply experiencing a.. a magical backlash! Every Auror knows all about them, they're really much more common that you'd think. Besides don't you children have a Halloween bash coming up to plan for? I'm sure all of you are super excited about it! I know I am! I love all holidays, except Valentine's Day each and every one of them! I hope to see you all talking about this in coming days! I'm sure many of you will want to take someone special to the bash so before to ask now before someone else snaps them up!

Which leads me to ask a certain Mr. Roger Davies if he'd like to accompany me to the bash. I hope he'll say yes or else this will be pretty embarrassing.

Please do not go out in the fog, I've already had to take four children up to see Pomfrey and Spinnet because of their Asthma. Not to mention it's too thick to be safe, that's why we've moved everything inside and only Staff is allowed out. The only time any student is supposed to be out is if you're on your way to or from Potions. Alumni this also goes for you, just because you've almost graduated doesn't mean the rules do not apply to you.

A note to all Quidditch players, the house elves have moved your uniforms to your dorms so until further notice you are to dress there. The ban on magic is still in place and I don't want to have confiscate anymore wands. If you have any questions feel free to talk to Auror Chambers or me.

Well I've been packing my trunks again, not that I mind. I've been dying to get my own place, my mother has been so overbearing lately. Of course that's nothing new, she's always been that way, always fussing and nitpicking over anything and everything. Even if I have to move back into an old castle it will be better than staying home. Though I should hope they would give an official Auror a nice cozy warm room for those winter nights.

I think this nice castle will be wonderful, as an official Auror I've been able to learn plenty about it and it just seems splendid. There was never any werewolf living there, the Ministry obtained through perfectly legal channels for the full price, and I hear the rooms there are large and spacious. Really none of you should be listening to a fired second string seeker, it's obvious some people have motives for spouting this nonsense and they just need to be ignored. The more attention you give them, the more it reinforces their bad behaviour.

I thought we were all past this stage, but obviously we're not. If you just confess I promise to go easy on you and I won't even put you in the closet. Just tell me where my photo album is, it means a lot to me and I'd really like it back. I know we had this discussion earlier in the year that stealing is not right, that is punishable and that Iain will give out the punishments. Well only this time I'll be dealing them out once I find out who took it! Remember how Owen was when some tore the cover off of his Vogue? It will be 20 times worse than that! GIVE ME IT BACK!

You know, perhaps on second thought someone put it with their things. I know since we're moving that everyone is packing, but I still need it back, right now preferably. If I don't have it back by the time we drive out of this place, I swear to you, whoever is driving with me will have the most miserable ride of their lives.

Also, by god Colin what the hell were you doing? I always knew you were a little slow, but really! And which one of you stupid idiots let him out anyways? You do know he's supposed to be in hiding right? Hell he should still be here! Instead we have Reggie! I know a lot is going on at Hogwarts, but this could get you all in trouble. It's obvious that you people have become incredibly foolhardy, I would have thought that with Neville leading the DA's that you'd be playing it safe. Instead you're all trying to be heroes! Heroes get killed! Let the adults take care of things!

Alright children, in the interest of keeping this house clean I think you should all clean up. What I mean is I've noticed a lot of knick knacks being left around this old place and frankly I'm tired of stepping on things. I couldn't help but to notice a large stack of Vogue's, we all know who they belong to, so if they're not picked up by Sunday I'm throwing them in the fire. This house has become a pig sty and I think it's horrible that we have to punish you all into cleaning up. Granted some of you do pick up after yourselves, but the vast majority seem to think that I'm a maid.

Also boys, please remember to lift up the lid when you're going to the bathroom. I'm tired of having to punish Owen into cleaning it up. One last thing, tonight I'm cooking Chinese food. We've decided, well Alicia decided that we should cook meals from our cultures. I hope you all look forward to Iain's night.
